JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES
  • This position is hourly
  • 10-20 hours per week
  • ​This position includes Friday and Saturday hours
  • Will be responsible for circulation duties including answering the phone, making calls to patrons, scheduling appointments, shelving and organizing books, running reports, checking in and out materials, responding to emails, light cleaning and sanitization, helping with bulletin boards and signs, as well as assisting the director or other staff members as needed.

Eligibility: 
  • Must be able to obtain FBI, PA Criminal, and PA Child Abuse clearances
  • Must have a high school diploma and be 18 or older
  • Must have computer and basic library knowledge 
  • Customer-service oriented​

 - CLOSED - 2022 PHEAA Summer Job Position

Schedule: Students may work up to 480 hours during the summer between May 1 and August 13.Wages: $12/ hour 

​Job Background: The Dr. William C. Conrad/ Stackpole-Hall Foundation Summer Jobs Program provides work experience at nonprofit employers in Elk County for eligible students. 

The position available at the Ridgway Public Library is a library assistant. Job functions will include circulation work, shelving books, answering the phone, helping the children's program coordinator with the summer reading program, participating in artist and craft events, helping with fundraisers and book sales. 
​
​Eligibility: Students who are unsure of their eligibility should apply.
