September is library card sign up month! The Blind Date with a Book Challenge is a great way to break out of your comfort zone and read something you wouldn't otherwise choose! To celebrate your library membership, RPL is giving away a $25 gift card. To enter the challenge, you must:
1. have a library card at the Ridgway Public Library 2. read at least 2 books on the "Blind Date with a Mystery Book" Display *Before you leave the library, be sure to get a flyer to record your books!* 3. write a quick review and rate the two books you read 4. submit the completed flyer to the circulation desk for your chance to win |
Book Club. Book Club will resume on the 4th Wednesday of September 2023 at 4:30pm for anyone over the age of 18. Book Club participants MUST have a RPL membership.
Fall Fest at the Library. Fresh wood fired pizza, walking tacos, and desserts will be for sale at the Ridgway Public Library during the Flavors of Fall Festival in Ridgway on Saturday, September 23 from 10-3pm. Live music by Wayne Bryndel. No entrance fee, but donations are appreciated. All proceeds benefit the Ridgway Public Library.

Book Signing Event. St. Marys native Thomas Farley will be at the Ridgway Public Library on Friday, September 22 from 3pm to 5pm to promote the release of his book on churches in Elk County. Books will be available to purchase from Mr. Farley for $19.95. |

Students will garner inspiration from flowers and plants found at the library garden and in the Pennsylvania forests to make stunning compositions. Anna will guide the class in graphite sketches, and introduce the techniques of gouache painting. Workshop Details: This course will introduce students to basic metalsmithing techniques including fabrication, piercing, forging, and wire wrapping.
