Watercolor Christmas Cards. Make your own Christmas cards this year at the Ridgway Public Library. The free class is instructed by artist Janet VanEerden on Monday, December 11 at 4pm at the Ridgway Public Library. Registration is required as there is limited seating available. Guest Author Event. Local author Jeanette Van Zanten Stump will be presenting her two books, “She Hath Wings” and ”The Red Caboose – An Orphan’s Journey” at the Ridgway Public Library on Saturday, October 14 from 11AM to 12PM. She will discuss the writing process, the background of her books, and answer any questions .

Time: 4:00-5:30PM About the Instructor: Instructed by artist-in-residency, Anna Lemnitzer. Students will garner inspiration from flowers and plants found at the library garden and in the Pennsylvania forests to make stunning compositions. Anna will guide the class in graphite sketches, and introduce the techniques of gouache painting. This course is for everyone, no experience is necessary and beginners/students are encouraged to register. Workshop Details: Supplies and materials will be provided. Time: 1pm - 3pm About the Instructor: Instructed by artist-in-residency, Susan Gobbel. Workshop Details: This course will introduce students to basic metalsmithing techniques including fabrication, piercing, forging, and wire wrapping. Time permitting, Susan may also explore polymer clay use with the class. Let nature be your main inspiration! Supplies and materials will be provided.
