Ridgway Public Library 329 Center Street, Ridgway, PA 15853 library_staff@ridgwaylibrary.org (814) 773-7573
Campaign Overview
The Ridgway Free Public Library is pleased to announce that we have reached the construction stage for our 100 year building preservation project. Exterior deck and porch repairs will begin September 2022 and extend into December 2022. Interior repairs will begin October 2022 and extend into Spring 2023. For the safety of our patrons and staff, there will be periods of time when the library will have to be closed. Advanced notice will be given for patrons to plan accordingly. The upgrades and repairs from this project will ensure a welcoming environment to promote educational opportunities and literacy programs in our community for years to come!
This project aims to make necessary repairs for the safety of our guests and visitors. Although much time and energy has gone into acquiring quotes for each phase of this project, costs for building supplies and materials have certainly risen.
Naming opportunities are available for several project phases, including the memorial garden lights (image, right). Contact Rachel at 814-773-7573 or library_director@ridgwaylibrary.org for more information.
Donations of any size are welcome to help us complete the project. Our goal for the capital campaign is to raise $25,000 for the purchase and installation of HVAC throughout the library.
This project wouldn't have been possible without the residents of Ridgway Borough, Ridgway Township, Horton Township, and Spring Creek Township for their ongoing support of the library. We also want to thank these generous foundations for providing grants and charitable donations to be used for the Ridgway Public Library's 100-year Preservation Project: The Stackpole-Hall Foundation, The Varischetti Foundation, The Elk County Community Foundation, The Heindl-Family Fund Foundation; The Elk County Commissioners; Northwest Bank; and Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc.
